Linda Forrest




Born London, England 1947.

Studied at Medway College of Art & Design (now The Kent Institute of Art & Design) from 1978-1982. Graduated with Diploma in 3-Dimensional Ceramic Art and Design (distinction).

1989

Moved to Wellington, New Zealand, and established a studio in Roseneath.

1992

Attended Colin Pearson workshop at the University of Southern Queensland, Australia.

Attained New Zealand Citizenship.

1998

Elected to Council of the New Zealand Academy of Fine Arts.
Commissioned by Innovus to make 100 bowls for presentation.
NZ X 6 ceramic artists exhibition at New Zealand Embassy, Tokyo, Japan.

2000

Exhibited at Aoyama Green Gallery, Tokyo, Japan.
Exhibited at Tachikichi Gallery, Kyoto,  Japan.
Judges’ Commendation Award, Mashiko International Ceramic Competition, Japan.
Work bought by Aichi Prefecture Museum, Nagoya, Japan

2001
